Penny Wars: Band Camp 2013
Penny wars will be held during camp to raise money for the program but also to serve as a great unity building activity. The students of the brass, woodwind, percussion, and color guard will be divided into several equal sized teams and provided with containers to collect money. Each team collects coins to place in their own containers. When bills are placed in opponents containers it will subtract that amount in the sum of the coins. Regiment wins when we add the total of coins and bills! The total earned was almost $1,700 last year! The team with the highest total sum of coins will win a ice cream party! All 10 teams are raising the money for the Feed The Kids Account. The money will be used to provide meals for all the band and color guard at the field competitions. Feed The Kids was started several years ago to help our hard working performers be at the top of their game. By ensuring our kids eat a full and healthy meal we help with the success of their performances and more importantly their well being.
